Lifetime Guaranty

If you suffer defect, data loss, system failure or chronic system instability during day-to-day use of your computer, IMSIG will come to you to fix the problem and recover your lost data for free*.

That is correct. We are confident that our systems will not break. Of course, there are a few rules attached to this guaranty.

*Restrictions:

• This guaranty is valid as long as you own the system that we installed Linux on. You do not need to buy an extended support plan.

• Due to travel costs we can offer this guaranty only to computers still in the Greater Toronto Area.

• This guaranty does not apply if you run as the “root” (sometimes known as “Administrator”) user all the time. Linux systems are designed for people to to run as a normal user, not as “root” user. You can still use the “root” user privileges to install new software or updates, but you should not use it for your day-to-day computing.

• Hardware failure is not covered by this guaranty. After all, we are installing Linux on your hardware, not our hardware.
