Microsoft Office Insecure by Design

People in the know have been saying for years that Microsoft Windows and companion products like Microsoft Office are fundamentally insecure.  Some recent articles on this site (here and here) have noted that virtually all "computer virus" attacks reported in the last decade are not "computer viruses" but are really "Windows viruses" because they affect only Microsoft systems. Microsoft has essentially admitted that it cannot fix the myriad security problems in MS Office. This article explains some of the reasons why.
