Linux Installation Challenge a Myth

Linux is normally easier to install than Windows.

In this article the author documents his experience installing Windows and subsequently Linux on his laptop. The Windows install took three times as long and was more complicated. This reflects my experience as well. The only reason people think Linux is a challenge to install is that they have never had to install Windows from scratch -- and therefore have no basis for comparison.
