Seven reasons to skip Windows 7
Unless you use Vista, don't bother to upgrade to Windows 7. The Windows 7 product that will officially be available to the public in October was rushed out the door for one reason only: to fix the disaster that was Vista. If you don't use Vista you are better off staying with what you have.
